Blogger/Author Pairings: Author Maggie Pouncey reads and discusses Perfect Reader with Clinton Hill Blog founder Robin Lester
Introduction by series curator Ron Hogan
Our monthly Blogger/Author Pairings series features a noted local blogger interviewing an author whose themes resonate for them. Fort Greene resident Maggie Pouncey’s debut novel Perfect Reader brings to life the unforgettable Flora Dempsey, whose role as the executor of her deceased professor/author father’s estate brings her into contact with both his reader (and blogger) fans and the letters he’d been writing to a secret girlfriend. Maggie talks tonight with Robin Lester, who has been chronicling neighborhood doings on the Clinton Hill Blog since 2006; the two neighbors will talk about literary fandom, urban “small town” life, and Brooklyn’s writing culture.RSVP on Facebook (optional)
