Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito present Baked Explorations: Classic American Desserts Reinvented

Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito left their day jobs in advertising five years ago to open their bakery, Baked, in Red Hook, Brooklyn, to immediate praise from fans across the country. Their first cookbook, Baked, was raved about in the borough and on food blogs across the country. Now, in Baked Explorations, the authors give their signature “Baked” twists to famous desserts from around the nation. Here is their take on our most treasured desserts: Banana Cream Pie, Black & White Cookies, Mississippi Mud Pie, and more. Tonight at Greenlight, Matt and Renato present their cookbook and answer questions, and of course provide some delectable dessert samples.

Fort Greene's own Greene Grape (which carries Baked sweets at its Provisions store) will provide complimentary aperitif wines to celebrate the book launch from 5:30 to 7:30, followed by the book event at Greenlight for a perfect pairing.
